The mission of JD Breast Cancer Foundation is to provide essential services to young women with breast cancer by offering financial assistance, emotional support and education to enhance survivorship.

To further our mission, the JD Breast Cancer Foundation is hosting the first annual Pink Carpet Gala, to recognize and honor 10 women who have battled or who are currently fighting the brave fight against breast cancer – our Pink Carpet Ladies. Our hope is to raise awareness of our foundation while raising additional funds to help more women benefit from the services of JDBCF.

Please join the 2011 Pink Carpet Gala Honoree, Ambiance’s pioneering President Jennifer Downey for what promises to be night filled fun, food, dancing and music by the Flashback, Rock n’ Soul band. Hundreds of guests will come together to celebrate life and the courageous determination of the human
spirit – don’t miss it!

Where:
The Club at Key Center located at 127 Public Square in
downtown Cleveland, Ohio. There will be food, beer and wine, music and
dance and the presentation of the Pink Carpet Ladies, Class of 2011.

Saturday, October 22, 2011, from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm,
during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Each guest will enjoy, food, music, dancing and a two-hour

Please mark your calendars for the 2011 Cleveland LGBT Heritage Day Celebrations to take place at Cleveland City Hall Rotunda, 601 Lakeside Avenue.

Beginning at 5:30pm on October 11, a cross-section of the city’s civic leaders will gather to honor the vibrancy and diversity of Cleveland’s LGBT community.  Several “shining star” awards will be presented in categories that include Advocacy, Education, Social Services and Neighborhood Leadership.

Invited speakers include Mayor Jackson and Steve Dettelbach, US Attorney Northeast Ohio Department of Justice.
