Cleveland Kings and Girls and Cleveland Pride Unite for a Successful Event

    2009 - 05.01

When Cleveland Pride and Cleveland Kings and Girls decided to plan a fun night of activities for the LGBT community, little did they know what a success it would be! On Wednesday night, April 29, the two groups hosted an event at Bounce nightclub to bring the LGBT community together and to generate pre-buzz for the upcoming Cleveland Gay Pride Parade and Festival.

“By working in concert with each other, we were able to create an event that helped to set a new bar for fundraisers in the LGBT community in Cleveland,” said Cleveland Pride CEO and Board President, Todd Saporito.

“We are delighted with the amazing success of this event, and look forward to working with Cleveland Kings and Girls again to create another fabulous event. With Madison Poole as MC, how can you go wrong? We look forward to a continued partnership with them,” he added.

Funds raised from the event set a new record for Cleveland Pride, and will help to ensure that this year’s parade and festival go off without a hitch. The success of this event is a testament to the partnership created by Cleveland Pride and Cleveland Kings and Girls to create unity and awareness among Cleveland’s LGBT community.

The event include Adam Apple, Ace Daniels, Bryce Chambers, Collin Lingus, Chase Skurtz, Donnie Waste, Foxie Roxie Valentine, Hope Arcade, Jennacyde, Logan, Max Magnum, Miss Red, Ryder Rhains, Travis, Xavier Alexander Jade. Special thanks to Carly Mesnick and Heather Hamilton for their enthusiasm and participation.

The night was truly a partnership success for The Room and for Cleveland Pride. It is a living example of our theme of “Equality through Unity”.

Stay tuned for information about upcoming events from Cleveland Pride and other community partners.
